You and Dr. Rosevear
Consultation
At the first visit, Dr. Rosevear will do a clinical examination to determine any treatment needs and outline possible corrective measures. This appointment usually takes 1/2 hour and is done at your convenience so that you and Dr. Rosevear will have time to spend together. The exact fee and further procedures will be discussed at this time. If orthodontic intervention is indicated, you may wish to proceed at this appointment with the necessary diagnostic records that include x-rays, photographs, and digital models of the teeth.
Bonding
After Dr. Rosevear has evaluated your records, he'll bond or place your braces. This is a 30-minute procedure that requires considerable experience, skill and knowledge, but offers absolutely no discomfort to the patient. Anesthetic and “shots” are never necessary. A video and personal instructions about eating and cleaning are given at this appointment. Patients also receive a bag of “goodies” to help with the aftercare of their new braces.
Appointment Scheduling
Our office hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Special appointments may be made to see patients at other times.
Although there are an ever-increasing number of adults receiving orthodontic treatment, the majority of patients are of school age. Because of this, we are unable to see all of our patients after school. In order to serve our patients in the most efficient way possible, lengthy procedures such as bonding and removal of appliances are scheduled in the early afternoon, and shorter appointments such as active adjustments and retainer checks are scheduled in the afternoon.
We will schedule your appointments every four to eight weeks during active treatment. Should you need to reschedule an appointment, kindly give us 24 hours notice.
